This offering, provides learners with knowledge of ITIL® v3 terminology, structure, basic concepts and core principles of ITIL® Practices for Service Management presented through a scenario-based training with real-life connections.

The course leads to the ITIL® v3 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.

This self-paced course introduces the concepts of the service lifecycle and the enhanced guidance described in ITIL® Version 3, and discusses the processes, roles, functions and key concepts of IT Service Management. Learners will come to understand the true value of following the recognized best practices ITIL® and the importance of integrating IT activity with the needs of the business.

The offering has been designed in the form of a Virtual Training Conference set at the Royal Chao Phraya Hotel at Bangkok. In this virtual atmosphere, learners attend different “conference” sessions hosted by two ITIL Experts who introduce the concepts described in ITIL® V3 including the key concepts of IT Service Management, the Service Lifecycle, processes, roles, and functions.

As part of the learner’s “stay” at the hotel, they have the opportunity to assist the hotel management team with different projects and scenarios that will test the learner’s new ITIL knowledge.

The course also offers exclusive special features, such as the scenario-based approach, a Quick-Reference Card and a First Aid Kit.

At the end of the course, learners are ready to take the one-hour "ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management" certification examination. The course may be purchased with or without the exam.

Certification:

The "ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management" is awarded to learners who have successfully achieved a score of 65% or better on the one-hour, forty-question, closed-book, multiple-choice examination given at the end of this course.

The examination is supervised and learners are required to present a photo ID to sit the examination. Several options exist for how and where to take the exam. Speak to your Third Sky representative.

Credits Toward Expert Qualification:
The ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management entitles the successful candidate to two (2) credits each towards higher qualification, specifically the ITIL Expert Certificate.
